Le GR20 est incontestablement l’un des plus mythique et des plus exigeant sentiers de montagne en Europe. Il parcourt 170 km de terrain alpin accidenté à travers la Corse. Avec des ascensions et des descentes quotidiennes considérables culminant à plus de 2 000 m au dessus des hauts pics granitiques, le Capra GR20 Challenge est réservé aux coureurs de trail avancés. À titre de référence, il faut généralement 14 jours aux bons randonneurs pour compléter le GR20, tandis que le record de la traversée du GR20 est détenu à ce jour par François D’Haene avec un temps de 31 heures réalisé en juillet 2017. Nous proposons un défi de 3, 5, ou 7 jours, selon la saison et le niveau des coureurs

Arrival & Welcome

Arrival at Bastia or Calvi airport. A staff member will be there to welcome you and accompany you to your hotel in Calvi.

Day 1 | U magnificu

  • Leave hotel at 6:30am for 7:30am start in Calenzana after briefing.
  • One of the most beautiful and wild stages of the GR20.  Very alpine and technical stage with +3,200m/-2,100m climb/descent over 28km.
  • Dinner at the restaurant and overnight in hotel room or a gite

Calenzana (270m) – Asco (1420m); dist: 28km; Elev: +3,200m / -2,100m; max alt: 2060m

Day 2 | Tears for Fears

  • Start at 6:00am.  We will reach a saddle at 2,500m altitude in the early morning (a perfect breakfast spot) and continue to work around some of the highest and most beautiful summits of the island.
  • Since June 10, 2018, 3 years after the municipal by-law prohibiting access to Cascettoni (the circus of solitude), this truly amazing place has been re-opened. Depending on conditions,  we may go through the circus of solitude  or opt for the variant: Ascu – Tighjettu Refuge then Tighjettu – Refuge of Ciottulu di i Mori –Col de Verghju.
  • Dinner at the restaurant and overnight in hotel room or a gite.

Asco (1420m) – Vergio (1400m); dist: 25km; Elev: +2,100m / -2,100m; max alt: 2,607m

Day 3 | Why, Why, Why?  because you can…

  • Start at 5:30am with a first part in the forest and on the plateau of Camputile. We will resume the ridges, overlooking the lakes of Ninu, Capitellu, Melu, Rinosu … until the refuge of Onda for a late lunch.
  • We’ll then take the « road » to cross the last pass of the day and the long descent to Vizzavona.  Well done! you have just finished the Gr20 North.

Day 4 | Tired legs can still run

  • Starting at 6:00am, by a gentle warm-up climb in the Vizzavona forest, followed by balcony trails throughout the morning, where we can finally trot as it is must !
  • After lunch, we will resume a technical part following a beautiful line of ridges.
  • Dinner at the refuge and overnight in a shelter or bivouac near the refuge.

Vizzavona (1150m) – Osciolu (1720m); dist: 47km; elev: +2,900m / -2,300m; max alt: 2,350m

Day 5 | Salvation & Resurrection

  • Starting at 7:00am, we run along ridges bordering the 2 old Corsican departments, climbing the Incudine, the last summit above 2,000m, followed by a steep descent toward the coveted Bavella massif.
  • After our last lunch, we will continue the descent to the finish in Conca, but don’t be fooled, it does not only go down! 
  • Celebration dinner at the restaurant and overnight in a hotel in Conca or Porto Vecchio

Day 6 | Why am I glowing?

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Travel via private minibus back to the airport
  • Extra day (visits, rest) to Bastia or Ajaccio if your plane is the next day (Sunday)

My promise: together we’ll share unforgettable moments!

My interest in running and endurance sport first developed as a way to balance my busy professional life, but then has morphed into a passion that brought me back to my love for nature and adventures. I enjoy trail running, especially ultra distance from 80 to 160 km.  My goal is become the best athlete I can while competing at international level in the Master category.  I’m also a UESCA Certified Running as I very much enjoyed the process of coaching people motivated to improve.
